Been thinking about new promo art for a while now…. I really like this composition but it would be crazy difficult to crop into banners etc. Chie has to be always visible but her face is just too far from the other characters.

I could’ve solved the problem by seating her on Jon’s lap but that is SUCH A DIRTY THOUGHT ;;;;;

I HATE SKINNING just when I think everything works this thing immediately proceeds to take a dump on all my effort one way or another

but at least I can make dumb faces now

“I wanna draw all my favorites” but it turns out I kinda love all of them. These ones were the easiest so far

I’m personally a bit allergic to the sort of super shiny look and overdone lighting, but then again this is Utena so I figured it’s a reasonable choice for a romantic shoujo theme. Also I know from experience people at artist’s alleys are very impressed by shiny stuff

Still it’s a style I kinda struggle to make interesting for myself and it’s a lot of work to pull off too. I hope I still like this piece by the time I’m done with it haha. Problems of a dirty sellout

Looks like I’m working on a new print WOOP

Drawing some Lannisters for an upcoming ASOIAF fanzine… young Tywin is turning out quite handsome if I say so myself hehe

I have till the end of this month to finish part four if I plan to have it printed for Tracon. A couple months ago I was still confident I could do it, but… this is taking longer than expected. Damn thing always takes longer than expected (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻ every time

Even though I’m drawing full steam every day, I’d need to start rushing like a mofo if I wanted to meet that deadline… and nope, rushing is not an option. This chapter is too cool for that kinda treatment. I’ve rushed my comics in the past and it’s just such a big regret later

TL;DR: Phantomland 4 won’t make it to Tracon. Sorry for the letdown! :( I’m not too happy with the decision either; I was really excited about showing off a new comic there

But the good news is that me and leppu will have a table at Fanfest (5.-6.10.) which is one month later! So I hope I’ll have a shiny new thing to sell you fresh off the printers by then!

Sorry for the lack of posts, I plan to finish chapter 4 by September which means I’ll spend the rest of my summer drawing all day erry day

Almost there… btw this building makes no sense (who builds a hotel with a club in the middle???) but I’ve stopped caring about it and I’ll just assume none of the readers will care either :-D It’s all for the sake of the plot
