I just read new updates of chapter 3. Chief said that it is illegal to take photos of Cypress officers, or to even mention them in the media. Does that mean that the general public denies the existence of ghosts, like invalids in North Korea?
Haha no their existence is acknowledged :D It’s just personal information about the officers that’s kept unavailable to the public for security reasons, which is why nobody’s allowed to photograph them (this is also done in the real world to some extent AFAIK)

I've been wondering for a while... how is Jon's name pronounced? Is it "Jon" with an English "j" sound (like in bluejay) or is it with an English "y" sound (since I know in different languages, "j" can make a "y" sound). Ahaha sorry for the confusing explanation.
Jon is short for Jonathan
I get what you mean though, I speak a language where j’s are pronounced like y’s so we sometimes pronounce English names & words the “local” way out of laziness :D

What places have influenced you most in designing the world of Phantomland? One review in the net said that Santa Luison's architecture, narrow streets and veranda cafés resemble Middle or Southern Europe, but I also remember you mentioning in Deviantart that you've also looked at Helsinki when designing buildings (especially Cypress HQ).
Uhhm well… I’ve been to cities like London and Amsterdam a couple of times and while I thought I’d aim to take inspiration from them - to have some sort of general “old Europe” aesthetic for Santa Luison - honestly I’m not doing nearly as much research on architecture as I should!
I mostly just ass-pull the buildings I need to draw (so they’re consistent with the plot & action) and I’m obviously subconsciously influenced by Helsinki since that’s where I hang out the most. Helsinki doesn’t have all that much old architecture so it sucks as a reference though
But I think I’ll put more effort to the environments once they become more directly relevant to the story? Right now there’s more focus on character-building than world-building, but I aim to make it more balanced eventually. That said I wish I’d have put a little more thought into Cypress HQ since I’ll be drawing it in almost every chapter. It’s not quite big enough, for one thing :-D

Anonymous asked you: What is Jon’s opinion on Facebook and Social Media?
He’s not good with computers so it’s a foreign world to him

A while ago, you told that average people sense that there is something "wrong" about Ghosts. Does this mean that animals avoid them as well? That could cause problems for law enforcement work, though... I mean, then Cypress couldn't use dogs to trail and catch criminals.
Elias has a cat so at least cats could be confirmed ghost-friendly…
Ah, but that could be a useful trope to have; the dog that starts yapping at the vampire/werewolf/mutant/etc and blows their cover :’D Maybe if a dog was raised at Cypress it wouldn’t have a problem with ghosts? It’s hard to tell for now since I haven’t really given much thought to animals in this story before. Thanks for the idea though!

How does the Ghost virus spread? Is it air-borne, touch or something else? Can it infect animals, as well? Does anyone know where it originated from? I have a vague theory that it could've been created in a lab for some purpose...
When the host dies, the virus goes airborne while any people within a certain radius are at risk of getting infected. There are other methods to catch the virus as well but I won’t talk about them yet
Animals are immune… I guess?? I never thought about that tbh :D The virus has been around for at least ~500 years though, and the carriers have always maintained some form of community of their own

you should open commissions. money is a good way to stop procastination. ;)
What are you talking about anon
I especially procrastinate on stuff involving money since there’s that much more pressure to do a decent job :—-D
So yeah maybe I should take a bunch of commissions and leave them hanging on purpose just so I can have that guilty pleasure of working on my own stuff instead

I have a question. If a citizen of foreign country catches the ghost virus while visiting Santa Luison, will this cause diplomatic problems between countries?
Hmmm, I’d say foreigners get the same treatment as everyone else… Difference being that if they don’t survive the infection, the corpse would be returned to the home country.
That said catching the virus is still a rare and unlikely thing so the governments don’t really get too upset about it

Wowwww anon you have quite a wild subconscious to have dreamed that! Thanks for sharing… I was sorta dreading the day I’d end up creating the inevitable school au but IT’S RIGHT HERE…. although in my version Alex is the obligatory popular kid and Jon is a terrifying P.E. teacher
