Doesn’t really matter how you do your margins. Just make sure your page has room for bleeds, more info in this post

Haha everybody keeps asking that. I’ve covered this in the FAQ but basically it’s just a simple cue to tell the ghosts and normal people apart.

In canon it’s technically a skin condition but there’s a little bit of lore attached to it. According to legend it’s a second pair of eyes, gifted by a mysterious entity for mysterious reasons :U

Haha sorry I’m not a brush expert, I just use whatever garbage I can put together in Photoshop, pressure controlled opacity is the only thing worth mentioning

1. Experiment with paneling but always keep them easily readable. Let a friend proofread them. If they need to pause reading to figure out what’s going on you’ve LOST THE GAME! It’s ok though because you can learn from your mistake
2. To further make your stuff more coherent look up the 180 degree rule, commonly used in film but also applies to comics
3. Depends on the style of your comic but: design the size and shape of your panels based on what happens in them. Important thing? Big panel. Character runs across a field? Wide panel. Climbs up a tree? Tall panel.
   
4. Read GOOD COMICS and study them!! Read Scott McCloud books too.

There’s probably like a dozen characters that have influenced Jon but off the top of my head I’d mention Léon the Professional and Big Boss (came up with the eyepatch before I played MGS though)

By all means dude! I wouldn’t mind seeing more of this Steven myself, if someone else’s willing to draw him that’s a win-win. I don’t own the rights to the character obviously but if you reference my design, would be cool if you gave credit!

I’ve been thinking of Patreon, yeah, but I’m not a full-time artist so that kind of dealie seems too heavy for me at the moment. There are paper editions of the comic though which I’ll make available again once I’ve pulled my shit together. I’ll make an announcement so stay tuned!
