How come all the ghosts live in Santa Luison? Did they originally live on a wider area until they were deported and restricted to the city?

The original ghosts appeared in the Santa Luison area and that’s where they’ve stayed since. Ghosts can’t thrive by themselves because they can’t reproduce, and they tend to have a hard time coexisting with normal people, but this was the first and only city where they were given a place and a purpose. Nowadays they’re being restricted to keep the virus in control (though there’s politics in it too)

I can imagine that becoming a ghost may be a very traumatizing experience. Does Cypress have therapeutic services for people who have serious difficulties in adapting to their situation?

Welllll let’s just assume people with blank memories are generally easy to convert to a new life. :D I don’t intend to dwell on that bit too much - amnesia is important to the setting but Chie is really the only character who actively struggles with it. Her boss is a jackass so it’s only natural she’d hope to find a better place to belong to

How knowledgeable an average citizen is about the ghost virus and its infected? Do the government or Cypress attempt to spread accurate information through internet or research articles in the papers?

Some information is off-limits. Government considers ghosts their property and doesn’t want other nations or organizations to get too familiar with them. Internet is very limited in this world so secrets are relatively easy to keep as well

He smokes only one brand. He’s less picky with alcohol, though he’s most interested in beer and whiskey
