jm-henry said: It… isn’t? Why the persecution complex?
jm-henry said: Besides, we have much larger problems in the world than who does/ doesn’t show up in videogames. It’s just silly to me :/

Starving African children are an awful thing but, surprisingly, they do not negate the gender inequality that I witness and experience

You’re telling me women aren’t marginalised in games? Sexism is over huh? Don’t be that guy. You are making an ass of yourself

You’re a good person, I know you’re better than this. Do me a favor and educate yourself on the subject pretty please. I’m not gonna bother spelling out sexism and white male privilege to every guy I come across

  1. laus-deactivated2014 said: I think it’s so mainstream to marginalize women that some people woman or man don’t even notice. And there was a comment that more women to gaming industry.. there is a lot of women in it, but not 50-50 tho. Surprising that you take a stand for issue
  2. jm-henry said: As an aside, the number of privileged white males in societ makes up about less than 10% of the population, at least in the US. I’ve seen far too many male cab drivers, janitors and garbage men to believe those people are at all privilieged, IMO.

  5. jm-henry said: That said, it doesn’t help credibility in the issue if we’re just going to call sexism whenever a game lacks a female character(GTA) or for other miniscule issues. It’d be as bonkers as saying Phantomland is sexist b/c Chie isn’t the lead.

  7. jm-henry said: If we wan’t to solve the lack of female representation in gaming(marginalization is just too extreme a word to describe what’s actually wrong), why not push for more women in the industry?
  8. jm-henry said: It’s more than a little hard to believe that members of the gaming industry would have the time on their hands to wickedly plot to marginalize women, those types are too busy thinking of creating games that turn a profit.
  9. jm-henry said: “You’re a good person, I know you’re …” And I also respect you as an artist and a person, but my opinion still stands. Noone’s saying sexism isn’t a thing, I just don’t believe it’s a thing in video games.
