I finished the fifth book yesterday… Obviously anyone could die at any given moment but it doesn’t bother me; I prefer to be optimistic towards my favorite characters, though honestly I don’t even mind if they die because GRRM writes good deaths :’) None so far have been stupid or pointless in my opinion

  1. annalandin said: Yeah, that’s my opinion as well - anyone can die at any time, and it’ll hurt, but I will probably still think it’s great. He does write splendid deaths.
  2. evelmiina said: Agreed. I’ve never felt like GRRM just wants to write some characters off, even if I’ve felt very sad for characters at the times, pieces still fall into their place.
