solaraprotagonist-deactivated20 asked:

Got any tips for people struggling with poses? ;7;

Not sure if I’m the right person to answer this… I just scribble something and then make a kajillion tweaks until everything looks alright. Free transform (select area -> ctrl+t) in Photoshop is my best friend :)

I can’t draw natural poses in that smooth & intuitive way many pros do, but I’m quick to detect the flaws in my drawing and then proceed to fix them. I guess everyone’s got their own way of doing it

  1. ikkoros said: pixelovely is good posemaniacs is awful for posing/anatomy in general its just. no dont do that pixelovely is alright look for other stocks, uhh, scott… something’s bodies in motion (sorry this isnt really helpful)
  2. ikkoros said: life drawing an entire dickload of life draws
  3. becdecorbin said: gesture sketches might help! also it depends on whether it’s anatomy you have trouble with or if you’re trying to convey a certain attitude. with former, I’ve turned to posemaniacs.com and such. a simple line of action also helps keep things fluid.
