Got some replies! Thanks guys!

Well, you’re right. There is kind of a lighthearted flavor especially in chapter 1 because I don’t want to drown the reader in bad feels right from the start :) I still felt like slipping a little hint of questionable morals in there, though

Good point! The thing is, though, that Jon won’t actually kill anyone (at this point of the story) so I’ll have to be, uh… a little creative when exhibiting his more malicious tendencies

True. I guess it’s a fair fight in a sense; at least Jon didn’t start it. But he’s still completely wiping the floor with everyone so I can’t help but feel a little sorry <:)
laurbits said: Agree with Hiraku- consequences are one way to show the “grey” of the situation. Most readers are conditioned to read fights as cool and anticipate Berserk-mode as the highlight of a conflict. Really interested to see where you take the story.
Hmm yes, consequences. Well put, need to pay more attention to that part. Look forward to it!
yssadalawa said: yeah, it’s kind of that awkward part where people clap in the movie when a character dies and you’re like, “um.” like the hunger games. that was awkward. (but i really wanted to comment on THAT PICTURE GREAT REACTION PICTURE okay)
I’ve noticed with some old action films that bad guy minions die with such over-the-top frequency that it’s a little depressing really! Seems like you don’t get that with newer films anymore.

Oh that’s great! Thanks!
