Do you know sci-fi game series called Mass Effect? If you have any interest in sci-fi, I recommend checking it out, the world's really deep and well planned. Also, I think that the krogan race would make worthy opponents for Jon, since they, too, are aggressive, brutal fighters.
I’m super picky with shooters and tend to prefer console games, but other than that I’ve been sorta interested in Mass Effect. Romancing aliens seems pretty cute :’) Maybe someday…

Hi, do you use Wacom or you draw the old fashion way (with a pen and a paper) and scan it later?
I rarely draw on paper these days aside from the comic pages. It’s just so much faster/easier to do layouts and sketches on computer so I tend to go all the way with it…
How many copies of each Phantomland issue have been printed?
Sorry, I prefer to keep the numbers to myself :’) Not that it’s a huge secret or anything but I just don’t see a benefit to sharing that stuff
That said I’m running out of vol.1’s and plan to make a reprint soon

Ever checked out the popular new manga, One Punch Man? I don't know if the story's your cup of tea ('cause the target audience's boys half your age), but someone as into art stuff as you'd probably appreciate Murata's incredible use of panels and angles quite a lot. For example, ch. 17.

Judging from the way the criminals that Jon and Chie have encountered have acted towards them thus far (calling them freaks and corpses), it seems to me that ghosts are often looked at with fear and repulsion from the normal people.
That is correct!
One of the major themes in the story will be the tension between two groups. The general public fears and hates the ghosts for a good reason, but there are also benefits to having them around. Most of the main characters work towards changing/improving the situation or plan to escape it altogether; time will tell who succeeds and who doesn’t :)

When is the 4th volume of phantomland coming out? I miss Jon, want to see him be badass! Also, really looking forward to see how the story develops from where it was left off at the end of vol. 3! Ps. I love the funnies :'D
I aim to have it printed for Helsinki comic fes which is next fall… but that’s the best case scenario really :-D
It’s hard to predict when I’ll have the next mental breakdown with the comic that halts my progress for weeks. #4 is a very dramatic and challenging chapter so there’s extra pressure not to screw it up!

I had a dream where there was a Phantomland anime :—D It just sort of existed and nobody thought it was a big deal… The studio had taken a bunch of liberties with it, Chie looked like this and the story was molded to seem more like a run-of-the-mill school anime. Looked a bit Kyoani style but really low budget ahaha
Jon had no change in design but he was acting like a terrible blushing tsundere (I blame suspu and ered)
I'm happy you find time to draw that detailed a comic. You seem like a fun person and I wish you luck in carrying out stuff that makes you and others happy.
Aw thank you! The pages do take stupidly long to finish I admit :’D Sometimes I kick myself for choosing such a tedious style, but then again it does pay off to put some effort to a thing you like!
