Ah damn I need more time to work on the cover art after all! But hey, here’s the update anyway. I hope you’ll enjoy this chapter as much as I do!

lumitiikeri said: But… but when can I buy it?
As soon as it’s finished and printed :-D Thanks for your interest!
Thing is I’m a little pissed how stupidly long this chapter is taking me so I hope I’ll be motivated to work faster when there’s a constantly shrinking buffer to think about, haha… but yeah look forward to the print version! It’ll be a blast!
Teaser time! Stakes are through the roof! How will our heroes survive this terrible ordeal???
Updates will resume on Thursday 16th!
Christmas doodle #5 - the rest are in my main tumblr. Chief of Cypress organization from Phantomland, for Maaria! It’s practically illegal to never draw her.
Awww shizzz I am not worthy!! ;; Thank you Raakel!
I’m happy to see chief get some love… great job with the icy colors & atmosphere you did here, very fitting to the character hehehe
Dude person with a hand thing
It’s finally Christmas break and I have time to draw stuff!
It’s Maaria’s birthday today yay happy birthday. It’s Maaria’s character Elias, but as a hipster emo dude because I seriously think her webcomic needs more emos.
Awww I’m so happy you drew this <3<3 Especially since it’s Elias and there’s not enough drawings of him! Not minding the hipster emo thing at all, I think it suits him alright! Makes him appear a bit younger I guess? Bonus points for the jussi shirt though haha
Anyway thanks H-P you’re hella sweet ;;
Haven’t been able to draw anything worthwhile lately. School stuff tends to drain my time & energy like crazy, especially when it turns out a gun barrel is not a simple shape…… the wireframe here is a chaotic nightmare let me tell you
I picked Walther PPK for the assignment because some of my characters use this gun so I have a handy reference for it now!
A thought just struck me. Has it ever happened that when somebody catches the Ghost virus, the victim's family tries to hide it? That they keep the patient hidden in order for him/her not to be taken to Cypress?
Typically they can’t tell it’s the virus because the person will just appear dead for a few days. Pathologists know what’s up and they have a secret pact to send all the infected bodies to Cypress, while the family receives autopsy results like “heart attack” or somesuch and proceed to have a funeral with a dummy in the coffin.
I guess sometimes people might stumble upon the truth, but reuniting with a ghostly family member tends not to work out too well! Eventually Cypress will seem like a perfect summer camp to dump your creepy amnesiac kid into
Yusss my first assignment in 3dsmax! There’s still some stuff to fix but I got lazy
good inspy for 3dsmax!
Also, how long did this take to make (and then render?) I’m doing an assignment on 3dsmax right now, and we’re having to build a city
Probably around six hours in total but keep in mind it’s the first thing I’ve ever modeled? I’m still slow and clumsy with the tools
Rendering was pretty fast though, around 5 mins for each pic in HD res

EDIT: rofl I mirrored the Aino triptych without even noticing…… good job
I figured this might be useful to share because I’m a procrastinating piece of shit and other people might be struggling with the same problem
Make a calendar where you keep track of stuff you do each day. Give a separate color to each project (or other such thing) you should work on. Every time you do something, mark it with a little square for every hour you spend doing it. It feels nice to earn those squares (and you’ll quickly develop a discomfort with blank days :d) EDIT: Remember to only have an easy goal like one or two squares each day. “Today I’m gonna be productive for ten hours!!” will only create pressure and discourage you from even starting
I’m still pretty lazy though, but at least this experiment has given me a better perspective of it haha
